Hot Gritz was founded in 2017 by Trevor Carter of Valdosta, GA and Luis Gorfinkel of Miami, FL. The two met and began playing as an acoustic duo in the pubs of Roswell, Georgia, where diverse crowds shaped their eclectic, adaptive sound. In 2021–2022, opening shows at Ameris Amphitheatre through Live Nation marked a turning point. Performing night after night for large audiences became a testing ground—revealing what truly connects and inspiring a deeper commitment to writing powerful songs for active listeners. In 2025, Trevor built “The Portal,” a mountain hideaway studio giving Hot Gritz complete creative freedom. Rooted in influences ranging from country to R&B and pop music, Hot Gritz creates music driven by connection, energy, and the belief that inspired songs can move people and spark lasting impact. In 2026 Hot Gritz gained some serious playing power with the addition of Warren Nichols (keys, Synth,Vox) and Jaime Smith( Bass & Mandolin). A strong lineup that can match any stage!
